Buying a Holiday Home

Q. What is the process for buying a caravan?

A. First visit the park to choose a pitch, followed by a visit to Salop Leisure to choose a caravan. We will then guide you through the paperwork.

Q. How do I choose my caravan?

A. Our caravan agents are Salop Leisure, who offer a fantastic range of models to suit your requirements. Make an appointment via Andy Clark our Park Warden to visit their amazing showroom in Shrewsbury.

Q. How long can I keep my caravan on the park?

A. We offer a 20 year Licence Agreement for all new caravans.

Q. What other charges will I have to pay?

A. There is an annual Pitch Fee payable by 1st March each year and an annual Electricity and Maintenance charge due in August. Please speak to us at Head Office on 01531 635 299 for up to date information on charges.

Q. How long can I use my caravan each year?

A. The park is open from 1st March to 31st October each year, which gives caravan owners eight months to use their caravans.

Q. Can I have visitors to stay at my caravan?

A. Owners are welcome to have friends and family staying with them.

Q. Can I sublet my caravan?

A. No, we do not permit subletting of caravans on the park.

Q. Can I keep a dog in my caravan?

A. Yes, dogs are permitted on the park providing they are kept under control at all times.

Q. Can I park next to my caravan?

A. Yes, you can park next to your caravan and we also provide a visitor’s car park near the entrance of the park.

Q. Can I visit my caravan in the closed season?

A. You can visit your caravan for maintenance during the closed season, but not to stay overnight.

Q. Are there laundry facilities on the park?

A. There is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer and we also provide outdoor washing lines.

Q. Do you have charging facilities for electric cars?

A. Yes, there is a charging point attached to the Park Office. Please speak to Andy our Park Warden for details.

Self-Catering Holidays

Q. How can I book my holiday?

A. You can book online by following the simple steps, or you can call the park 01341 247652 and make your booking over the phone.

Q. How can I pay for my Holiday?

A. You can pay by debit/credit card either online or over the telephone.

Q. Do you accept bookings from all male/female parties?

A. Rhinog Park is a family orientated park and therefore do not cater for large groups of all male/female parties. Where the party is aged between 17 and 25 you must tell us when you book. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any bookings made that breach these conditions.

Q. Can I take my Pet on holiday?

A. We welcome Pets in some of our lodges. There is a small charge for bringing a Pet with you which will be advised at the time of booking. Registered assistance Dogs are accepted free of charge subject to suitable accommodation being available.

Q. Can I make changes to my booking?

A. Once you have paid your deposit or the full fee, there will be an administration fee of £10 to make substantial changes to your booking.

Q. On which days can I start my holiday?

A. Week breaks start on a Saturday, while short breaks begin on a Friday or a Monday.

Arrival and Departure

Q. What time can we check in?

A. From 3 p.m. You can, however, pay for an early check in if necessary. The cost for this service is £10.

Q. What time do we check out?

A. Customers should check out by 10 a.m. Please ensure any items you have hired are returned to Reception.

Q. What if we arrive after Reception has closed?

A. If you expect to arrive at the Park after Reception has closed, please call the Park in advance so that arrangements can be made for you to collect your keys. Please note, we cannot accept arrivals after 10pm.

On The Park

Q. Is there a Play area?

A. Yes, we have a children’s play area with swings, a large sandpit and a climbing frame.

Q. Can I book again before I leave?

A. We have some fantastic book again offers, either for later in the year or for the following year. Our friendly Park Warden should be able to provide you with all of the information you require.

Q. Can I park outside my Lodge?

A. Yes, there is Parking for one car. Additional Parking may be available upon request.

Q. Are you allowed to smoke in the accommodation?

A. No. Smoking is forbidden in all of our accommodation.

Q. Can we have a BBQ on site?

A. Yes, we have a barbecue area on the Park that can be used at any time by guests.

Q. Do you have charging facilities for electric cars?

A. Yes, there is a charging point attached to the Park Office. Please speak to Andy our Park Warden for details.

What to Bring

Q. What is supplied in the Lodge?

A. All of our units are fully equipped with kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery, along with a fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave and cooker. In the lounge you will find a colour TV and DVD player.

Q. Do you supply linen?

A. Sheets, duvets and pillowcases are supplied in each unit and we can supply extra linen for a small charge, if necessary.

Q. Do you supply Towels?

A. We supply tea towels, but you should bring your own hand and bath towels.

Q. Can I hire Cots/Highchairs?

A. Yes, these are available and arrangements to hire them should be made in advance. Please supply your own cot linen. Please note that cots may not fit into all of the bedrooms.

Q. What do I need for the electricity meters in the lodges?

A. Electricity is provided by a slot meter in each lodge which takes £1 and £2 coins, so do bring a supply with you.
